Import and export
The Import / export menu in the Test design explorer holds every import and export option.
Import from CSV
Section titled “Import from CSV”Use CSV import to bring in test cases from a spreadsheet or another test management tool. It reads exports from TestRail, Xray, Zephyr Scale, QMetry and AIO, as well as files exported from AssertThat itself.
- Click Import / export › Import CSV.
- Choose a file, or paste CSV content. A file can hold up to 1000 test cases and 2 MB.
- Check the Column mapping. Columns are detected automatically; adjust any that are wrong or set them to Not mapped. You can map Title, Folder, Type, Priority, Status, Steps, Labels and Requirements.
- Pick a Default folder for rows that have no folder, check the Preview, and import.
The result shows how many test cases were created and lists any rows that failed, with the reason.
Feature files
Section titled “Feature files”Import .feature files
Section titled “Import .feature files”- Click Import / export › Import .feature.
- Pick one or more
.featurefiles, or a.zipof them, and a target folder.
Folders inside the zip become folders under the target folder, and each Scenario or Scenario Outline becomes one BDD test case. Scenarios tagged @TC-<n> update that existing test case instead of creating a new one, so you can round-trip feature files between your repository and Jira. The result lists the cases created, updated and unchanged.
Export .feature files and Feature view
Section titled “Export .feature files and Feature view”- Export .feature downloads the BDD test cases of a folder as feature files.
- Feature view shows all BDD test cases of a folder rendered as features, read-only, with a Print option.
Export to CSV
Section titled “Export to CSV”- Export all downloads the whole repository.
- Export CSV in a folder’s menu downloads that folder.
If your browser blocks the download, click Didn’t download? Show CSV to view and copy the content.
Execution results, analytics, the audit log and exploratory session reports have their own exports. See Execution, Analytics and Audit log.
