Common understanding of requirements with AssertThat’s BDD & Cucumber plugin for Jira

We’re delighted to announce the launch of AssertThat’s BDD & Cucumber plugin for Jira. Our plugin is built specifically for BDD implementations in Jira and, as such, is intuitive, easy to use and and only contains functionality which will assist your organisation to successfully implement BDD. If you are looking for a generic Test Management plugin then this plugin is not for you.

Our background

We are a small team who have extensive experience building BDD capabilities and frameworks, and we are also regular contributors to Cucumber projects. We have first hand experience of the challenges and successes where organisations have adopted BDD as a software development approach, across the 4 phases outlined below:

  • How questioning and challenging the understanding of user stories during the 3 amigos session forges a greater understanding of how the story behaves.

  • Developing meaningful scenarios in a non technical language that capture the behaviour of the user story. Making the features and scenarios easy to access and in one place for all the team to contribute.

  • Seamless and simple integration with your test automation frameworks AND integration of your test automation results all in one place.

  • The ability to easily refactor your scenarios and manage your features as they grow in size and complexity.
